We've created it: the system. It's called star system. It's a gimmick. Somebody picks up people. Those people don't have to be particularly gifted. They're just odinary people. The fact that they are paid obscene amounts of money for what they do makes them what they are: STARS. People get hysterical over anything their stars do. The stars do very common things, which become extraordinary, because they were done by a star. Why does the star system work? Because a lot of people feed on it, and lots of people don't want to admit that it's nonsense. The people who feed on it are somehow blessed with a certain amount of stardom. Being for instance the driver of a star icreases your salary tenfold, just because you're the driver of a star. Everything that has to do with a star has to be ridiculously expensive. A lot of money is showeled around, and a lot o people make profit. The money comes from other lots and lots of people, who need to be sold an illusion. Some day, the star system is going to explode. Probably some alarmclock will ring in due time. And all we are going to say, will be: "Good morning".
We can live in many places and in many ways, but never without our inner self.

AND WHO'S GONNA PAY FOR ALL THAT?

I think the star system works for now because there is a lot of money to be made by affiliates of the stars. I guess we should start off with the beggining of television. The actors on television at its beginning were people that could not do anything else. They were paid minimum wage and were sort of outcasts. Over time people realized that the guys and girls on television had power. If they drank coke, it sent a message out to the audience to have a coke. Then the advertisers got into it and the average person cannot even get near these stars, you have a better chance of meeting the president or leader of your country. Stardom makes a lot of people a lot of money. I think that over time society will realize that how much global influence you have (i.e. friends and written, verbal, and video broadcasts you create each day) is a choice people make. You figure out how globally influential you want to be, and you take action each day toward that goal. Your favorite movie star maybe appears in front of a few million people each year. If you have a few million friends and contacts through various networks and affiliations that all read, listen to, or watch your material, guess what? You're just as influential as that movie star. You can get the designer clothing and have a driver if you want, or you can continue living your life like you did before, everything is a choice. Right now you may only have a few thousand friends on FaceBook, MySpace, and Twitter, and a few hundred followers of your Blog, but your sphere of influence is growing at an alarming rate every day. Your favorite movie star has to spend months making a movie to be influential again, or maybe they have a television show. But usually that movie star is just acting out what someone else tells them to do, they are acting off a script. How great is it that we, as bloggers or whatever, have no script. We are doing everything improv, including setting the stage, deciding what we will talk about, picking out which advertisers will support our work, even deciding what audience we will talk about. Now to me that's stardom. I don't care if you have a half-dozen people tuning in. You're getting YOUR message out there. Sometimes I watch television or movies and I feel bad for the actors. A lot of them are trapped in the endless cycle of chasing money and fame and unfaithful girlfriends or boyfriends. It is pretty sad when you think about it. I am going to pray for these actors and actresses that they may find peace and harmony with their true selves and recognize that the nonsense a lot of them are chasing is just that, nonsense. As bloggers we have tremendous power to have a positive impact on the world. If we disagree with this stardom business, we can change it with our broadcasts. For those actors and actresses out there, just coming up, I applaud you for your efforts. I try to gain fans for my blog just as you try to gain fans for your work, so I know how difficult it is. I hope as you become more popular you will contribute to the scripts you are acting out, so that you can be conveying the message you are trying to get across, not the message of somebody just looking to make a buck.
